how to make a shamrock garland
This St. Patrick’s Day craft is super simple to make and put together.
All you need is some precut shamrocks from your local craft store or you can even find them on Amazon too. If you can’t find precut shamrocks you can also use a cookie cutter or a cut out to trace one with!
After you gather the shamrocks you will need a hole punch, a 12-15″ piece of ribbon and a yarn needle. That’s it and then you are good to go!
Materials you’ll need for a St. Patricks Garland
- Precut Shamrocks (or you can cut some yourself from felt or paper)
- 12-15″ piece of ribbon
- hole punch
- tapestry needle
St Patrick’s Day garland DIY
To begin this craft you will need to gather up some precut shamrocks. I bought mine at my local craft store.
Next you will need a hole punch to punch holes in the felt shamrocks. I did two per clover.
The next step is to take the 12-15″ piece of ribbon (or yarn) and attach it to a tapestry needle.
You do not have to use a needle but it makes it easier to slide it through the holes in the shamrocks.
Next weave the needle with the ribbon through the holes in the shamrock. Repeat this step for every shamrock in your garland.
You are now done with your St. Patrick’s Garland!
Now all that is left to do is hang up your garland and enjoy! I hung mine in my office but I am going to guess that my daughter is going to take “borrow” it very soon for her room.
